# Plan a week of content

> A repeatable way to fill a week without writing every post from scratch.

Most people arrive at Ocoya posting reactively and want to get a week ahead. This is the shortest route there.

## Before the first week

Two things pay for themselves immediately:

* **A real brand description.** Everything generated is written from it. See [Set up your brand](/help/set-up-your-brand).
* **Posting slots** on each channel — the weekly times you want to hit, so you're never deciding an hour per post. See [Posting slots](/help/posting-slots).

## The week

<Steps>
  <Step title="Decide the week's theme">
    One idea a week is easier to fill than seven unrelated ones, and reads as intentional rather than scattered.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate a campaign around it">
    A campaign produces a run of posts that build on each other rather than repeating. Five posts over seven days is a sensible first size, and costs 10 credits with one image each. See [Generate an AI campaign](/help/ai-campaigns).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review before anything is scheduled">
    Approve the posts that work, edit the ones that nearly work, and leave the rest. Only approved posts get scheduled — the others simply never exist. See [Review a generated campaign](/help/review-a-campaign).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill the gaps by hand">
    Campaigns are good at the planned content and poor at the timely stuff. Add the things only you know about — a customer result, something from this week, a reply to what's happening in your market.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the spread">
    Planner's **Calendar** view shows the week at a glance. Four posts on Tuesday and nothing after is the thing to catch here. See [Planner views](/help/planner-views).
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Keep it honest

**Preview before you finish.** A caption written for LinkedIn reads badly on X. The preview shows each network's own version. See [Preview a post before publishing](/help/preview-a-post).

**Write short versions where you need them.** One post can carry a different caption per channel rather than being cut to the shortest network's limit. See [The post editor](/help/post-editor).

**Don't chase the post score.** It rewards a particular shape, and a short factual announcement can score Low and still be right. See [Post score](/help/post-score).

## What to automate, once it's working

Once a week is running smoothly, a workflow can take the repetitive part:

* A **Daily poster** keeps something going out on a schedule
* An **RSS poster** turns new articles into posts

Both cost a credit per run, and neither replaces the timely content. See [Create a workflow](/help/create-a-workflow).

## A realistic budget

A week built this way costs roughly 10–20 credits: one campaign, plus a few AI edits. Starter includes 300 a month, so the constraint is usually your attention rather than credits. See [What are credits?](/help/credits)
